emma&me®
is proud to support the Kenny Gordon Foundation (www.kennygordonfoundation.org).
The Kenny Gordon Foundation was established in 1999 after Kenny Gordon's sudden
death at age 26 of heart failure. The foundation's mission is to preserve Kenny's
memory and to work to prevent similar deaths.
Through various charitable endeavors, the Foundation
funds a full four-year scholarship at Skidmore College, Kenny's alma mater, and
has also established Kenny's Kids at Morry's Camp in Upstate New York. Morry's
camp provides a year-round support system for inner city children.
Additionally, the Foundation recently made a donation
to Cornell University/ New York Presbyterian hospital and Dr. Bruce Lerman, Chief
of the Division of Cardiology and Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology laboratory.
Dr Lerman and his staff are studying how sudden cardiac
death caused by arrhythmias can be prevented. A plaque indicating the laboratory
is supported by the Kenny Gordon Foundation will be dedicated as soon as the hospital
completes its new research facilities.
The Kenny Gordon Foundation is a 501c(3) charity.
emma&me® is also proud to support Love Heals
and The Retreat which provides shelter and support for victims of domestic violence. |
